![]() The updates just increase the current grind of the game. They have no respect for their players time either. Most of the content is lazily developed off on RNG mechanics. Nexomon is similar enough that it's like simplified Pokémon but the enimies constantly have monsters that can two shot you with type effectiveness. Nexomon: Most simple type chart (like 8 types I think?) with same battle system as Pokémon. Your Digimon can remember more moves and take more moves into battle than Pokémon or Nexomon. Plus each digimon fits into a rock paper scissors in top of that. Two triangles then two in direct opposition then neutral. Has interaction with Mental type which I think is pretty cool.ĭigimon Story Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition: There are like 9 types I think. Not in the "holy" sense or the Fae sense. Pokémon to TemTem type conversion below (may not be 100% accurate as I haven't spent too much time bothering to memorize the TemTem chart since it's in Beta):įairy = No TemTem equivalent. The battle system is only different in one way but that makes it better imo. TemTem: Falls squarely between Pokémon and Nexomon as it has 12 types. Yes rock is important competitively but in regular gameplay half the Pokémon you encounter will kick your Geodude's ass ) There are 18 types with 2 or 3 being considerably stronger than the rest and Grass + Rock being hot garbage (imo. (Most of the matchups make sense when explained through either "Western" or Japanese reasoning. Pokémon: Most complex type chart with simplest battle system. I will also continue to play TemTem because I like the one tweak to the battle system. I will continue to play Pokémon as I enjoy the type variety. I have played at least one of the mainstream games each generation. ![]() I've played Pokémon since original US release of Red and Blue. This game is worth playing atleast once in my opinion. Other features - Clubs (guilds), Fishing, breeding, Cosmetics, housing, weekly pvp tournament based on tiers Bronze Silver Gold and Purple, Community hosted pvp tournaments, mounts (incoming in future update), Club wars (Future update), Clubs controlling dojos (future update), 2v2 pvp (future update). The devs say they are aware of these problems and have said that future content which is yet to release makes this situation better. Therefore, currently experimentation is very expensive and punishing if it does not work. ![]() For example I made the unwise choice of constantly experimenting thus burning through above 1.5m very quickly. It takes time to get set up, progress is slow therefore you need to be willing, patient and smart with your choices. In that sense pvp is expensive and has an invisible entry barrier. ![]() However if you want to compete in tournaments where nothing is scaled then you will be spending quite a bit of money. If you just want to do Ranked pvp then it is not very expensive. In Ranked pvp all temtems stats and lvl is scaled to max. Ranked pvp is the only available pvp mode. This is what is keeping me playing and what I focus on. You can do the Lairs as many times as you want for other rewards which are random. Lairs currently aren't perfect but it's a nice start. Once per week you are guaranteed to get an egg of mythical temtem of the associated lair. The motivation temtem which are the legendary of this game are the boss of the lair. Lairs - Lairs are the raids of this game. I did not desire anything in PVE aspect so I never grind for PVE. PVE grind - The grind depends on what you desire. After you beat the story and all Dojos you will unlock Dojo rematches which can be done once per week, are harder than regular Dojos and is a nice way to make. Dojo leaders are not limited to just the typing of their Dojo. You will need to adjust your team as you progress or you will just lose.ĭojo Battles - Dojos are the gyms of this game. You will not be able to blast through the game with just 1 temtem or 1 team like you do in pokemon. Wild temtem battles can be 2 of your temtems vs 1 wild temtem. Pve Battles - All PVE battles are 2 temtems vs 2 temtems. It starts off the same as pokemon but quickly branches into something very different. As someone who had played 1627 hours of temtem here is my take on the game:
